Meet Our Team
Matthew Watson and Zander Keig, despite being a socially dichotomous “odd couple,” exemplify the breadth of diversity within the social work profession. They’ve gathered a diverse group of contributors to enhance viewpoint diversity among social workers.
Founders
Dr. Nafees Alam is an award-winning professor (2022 Golden Apple Award) specializing in nonprofit program evaluation and macro practice, with over seven years of experience. Dr. Alam’s research agenda is self-determination in sport social work with a secondary focus on viewpoint diversity, open inquiry, and constructive disagreement in higher education. He was several publications and has presented at conferences worldwide, including two keynotes. He pioneered the Heterodox Social Work Community within Heterodox Academy.
